MethaneMapper is a dual-sensor hydrocarbon detection system featuring a TDLAS and a sniffer.
Capable of operating on any drone, MethaneMapper assists in locating the following gases: Butane, Ethane, Hydrogen, Isobutane, Isobutylene, Isopropanol, Methane, Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK), Octane, Pentane, Propane, Propylene, Toluene, and Xylene.

Data Logging:
MethaneMapper records GPS, time, and data from both the TDLAS and sniffer for 14 different gases onto an SD card.

Data Conversion:
Data collected on the SD card can be converted to a KML format for free at MethaneMapper.com. Please note that this service will eventually become a paid feature, but for early adopters, we offer a free license.

Sensor Array Features:

  • Detects 14 different gases with a single factory calibration, eliminating the need for field calibration.
  • The sensor array does not drift, decay, or require maintenance over its lifetime.
  • Equipped with a hydrocarbon sniffer and a Tuned Laser Diode (TDLAS).
